If you want to publish a successful newsletter you need to do more than just create content. It is so much more involved than that. As a newsletter publisher you are responsible for giving your target audience the best information in the most presentable manner. The exact minute that you fail at doing this, you will fail at getting the response you desire most. Remember though that simply having the feedback is a good thing for you.

Be consistent in your work ethic so you can give value to your readers at all times. They have great expectations. You need to meet them.
